Ergänzungs-Bataillon vom Infanterie-Regiment 81

Das Bataillon wurde im Jahr 1938 in Bad Homburg, Wehrkreis IX, aufgestellt. Das Bataillon wurde durch Abgaben vom gesamten Infanterie-Regiment 36 aufgestellt. Disziplinar unterstand das Bataillon auch dem Infanterie-Regiment 81. Das Bataillon blieb bis zur Mobilmachung in Bad Homburg stationiert. Bei der Mobilmachung wurde das Bataillon zur Aufstellung der 4. Welle verwendet. Das Bataillon bildete dabei das I. Bataillon vom Infanterie-Regiment 459 der 251. Infanterie-Division.
